The bamboo parquets are laid in the same way as the parquets in traditional wood species, namely in nailed, glued or floating laying.
In all cases, it is the parquet layer's responsibility to choose the laying method most appropriate to each place depending on the characteristics of the work to be executed.
In order to avoid the deformation of the parquets and panels, it is very important to comply with some precautions of storage: the place where BambooTouch® will be stored should have a temperature around 18°C and a humidity rate close to 45-60%. The boxes should always be stored flat.
Whether for a new place or for renovation, it is important that the works are finished on the places where the parquet is to be laid, so that it would be the last element to install.
Ideally the parquet boxes should be on the spot one week before laying, so that the parquet would adapt itself to the room temperature of the room where it is to be laid. And this to avoid that it would move or retract after the laying.
If the bamboo parquet is glued, it is very important to choose very high quality glues.
We are advising dual component glues, lick BONA glue R-770, silan-based glues, such as BONA R-850.
